I am a grade 11 student living in Canada and as you may have guessed im a fan of World of Warcraft. I got the game not much before the Burning Crusade came out and have been a fan ever since. Currently I am working on getting my lvl 70 char to 80 in my free time, as well as making this site of coarse. I am not taking any credit for the information put on the site as I have posted it from other locations and from other people's posts. I hope you enjoy the site and send me a e-mail if you have ideas on how I could improve the site.

PvP is where the real challenge is. You have to fight real people instead of the bad AI routines of the PvE npc’s.
PvP is gonna be annoying when you start, but if you stick with it, it’s a lot more fun.

The thing I enjoy about PvP severs as opposed to others, is that you can interact with the Horde/Alliance in more ways. For example, I can be farming something, and a Horde will come, and there’s a moment where I don’t if he’s going to attack or not, and if I should start shooting now, to save time? And then he /wave /flirt, or whatever and it’s all good. But you never know…it adds an element of suspense to the game. It can be very frustrating when you just want to farm, quest, lvl a lowbie alt, or get to an instance and Horde are ganking/camping or whatever. But on the whole, I enjoy it more then not.

There is no advantage really. Just a personal play-style.
PVE servers allow to PVP “when you want to”. On PVE servers you can only attack another character that is ‘flagged’ for PVP. You can do battle grounds or open PVP or simply type /pvp and you will be flagged until you type /pvp again. BUT you get to choose this. You can level faster on a PVE, because nobody can attack you for no good reason.
PVP servers are like real war and is probably more realistic, but the PVP is also not strategic and can be annoying. You can be almost anywhere on the map and be attacked. If you do want do a pvp server I would recommend a low pop server. On high pop servers, the bored 70’s hang out where opposing factions have to do particular quests and gank people repeatedly until they give up. If one night you want to watch a TV show and farm some element, you could be attacked and not get anything farmed at all.
I personally enjoy PVE. It gives you a choice. Sometimes I like to fight all night, and other times I want to concentrate on ONLY building up my trade-skills without a lot of bother.

On (PVP) you can fight the opposite alliance any time you want when you see one.
On (PVE) you have to requests duels unless you turn on the pvp in the channel.
