ok, this is what might have happened. You are a low level and blizzard noticed you have to much gold and took it.

It’s possible, I suppose that Blizzard took notice of your gold intake activities and removed the gold, but not likely.
Chances are much greater, knowing their stance on gold buying, that if they catch you buying gold, they will ban your account.
Further, even though “no one” knows your account, you bought gold, from a site. Since you had gold that isn’t there anymore, it’s very likely that you were exposed to a keylogger on the site that you bought gold from.
Keyloggers record your keystrokes, and send the information back to the source (whoever put up the malicious code). That means that even if you never shared your password or username, a third party can obtain it by putting malicious code on your computer remotely (yes, just browsing the web can do it), and steal your name and pass.
1) Run a Spyware and Antivirus check on your computer. I recommend you use several different programs for each (i.e. AVG, Avast!, Spybot S & D, Adaware, etc.)
2) Remove any harmful programs found.
3) Log on to the World of Warcraft site and Change your Password.
4) Never go to a site that deals in illicit WoW trading (Accounts, Gold selling, Powerleveling).
5) If you use Firefox, download the addon NoScript, and be diligent about using it.
