World of Warcraft addons
Askaway asked:

I’ve owned WoW for 3 years now, and I have never had this happen. After the most recent patch, yesterday, it’s like blizzard moved my WoW folder. Anything I do to the addon folder in my programs folder doesn’t mimic on the game. I cleared my addons and wtf folders, but those addons still appear in game. Anyone know what happened?

I have tried searching my computer for the addons and other world of warcraft folders with no luck.

no addons are compatible with the new downloaded patch . . . u must wait till new versions of your addons come out . . . if u got them from curse.com they r in the process of updating all addons

What addons are you running? What are you seeing in-game?

As far as I know, unless you have an addon specifically labeled for Wrath, Beta, or 3.0 compatibility, your addons will be broken.

When I logged in, none of my addons appeared.

If I were you, and wanted to clear my interface, I would not clear my wtf folder, but delete it altogether. A new wtf folder will be populated the next time you log in. Your interface will be completely reset– hotkeys will need to be rebound, video and UI setting will all be reset to default.

You should also make sure that you have no addons selected when you are at your Character Selection Screen, using the addons button in the lower-left corner of your screen.

3.0 majorly overhauled the default UI, and you may be seeing some of those changes and thinking it’s your addons messing up. Check to make sure you are running vanilla, and then go to curse, wowace, or your favorite addon site to get compatible and up-to-date addons.

Blizz copied and moved everything in the WoW folder to C:/users/public/games folder. They also left a copy of your adds and your wtf files in the old WoW folder probably in your C:/program files folder. If you are deleting from your old folder then nothing is going to show ingame.

    Your add-ons are located in C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Interface\Addons

Delete that map and your done.

Also, with WoWMatrix or Curse Client you can easily download and remove add-ons

Currently I am working on getting my lvl 70 char to 80 in my free time, as well as making this site of coarse. I am not taking any credit for the information put on the site as I have posted it from other locations and from other people's posts.
