Nope, all you can do is redownload them, or load them as out-of date.

Your best bet for easy addon updating would be to download a program that comes with an addon website. For example, curse has a program that lets you automatically update and manage your addons whenever.
However, after a large patch it’s worth your time to strip down your game and reinstall all your addons from scratch to avoid any bugs.
If you’re into doing that…
-Make a list of which addons you want to reinstall and go download the newest versions
-Delete your WTF and Interface folders within your WoW directory
-Boot the game to setup your default video and interface options, then exit
-Lastly, install your new addons, login and set them up; doing all that will ensure that everything is clean and you’re bug free
It is a chore though! In any case, I suggest you try the curse program, it’s light and makes managing your addons pretty easy.

Not really. The more of these addons you have and the more third party programs you have to run to try and clean up the mess gets, not only tedious but annoying. Nonetheless, if you must update the addons you have or had, the best way to do it is to remove them and reinstall them one by one. As mentioned, you can get another program to do it, but in the end, you want to do it right.
As Wrath of the Lich King gets closer, and more changes come, you’ll need to change your addons anyway. WOTLK comes out in less than two weeks now.

It will automatically update all of your add-ons if updates are available when you run the program. I have it and it saves a lot of time =)

no, you will need to find out the site you downloaded it from and get the latest version. curse.com is most likely where you got the addon… Hope this helps!
