I bought world of warcraft from Target without a cd inside the box?

I’m of course going to return it and get another one, so what does Target do with these issues? Do they return the game to Blizzard? Probably someone stole it out of the box, how will blizzard penalize who ever stole the cd’s with the cd key on it? I’m just curious, has this ever happen to anyone before?

It just gets returned. There is no follow up, to Target and Blizzard these games cost less than a dollar. Its not worth the man power.

Yes it has, but a bit different. I must say. I was at the malls with my mom, HYPED about getting kingdom hearts 2. I JUST got my tooth pulled out and it was bleeding severely so my mom said she will buy me anything as a present for going to the dentist. So i bought KH2 and guess what!? The CD in it was Kingdom hearts 1!!! Not 2!! I cried like all day because i went through 30 minutes of pain, and a whole day of blood. :*(

Actually, I work for Target Assets Protection, and we just had this happen the other day with a PS3 game. We reviewed video and found that someone else returned the game without the disc inside it and sealed, and this poor guy bought it empty. We allowed him to exchange it, and we saved all video and pictures of the subject who returned the game. This information gets sent to all nearby stores, so that if they see the subject, they watch him closely. However, in your case, if you bought the game on Thursday at the release, it is more likely that it was empty when it came. I guess it kinda depends on how long it was on the shelf. It is also possible that it was an internal theft.
